This is usually the coldest month of the year, surely there cannot be anything to do in the garden this month?  Well actually there are some things you can do to help the look of your home and your landscape design.

Start by looking out the windows and see if you like the view.  Also how does your home look from the street?

Are you seeing deer in your yard, and are they eating some of your plantings.  Perhaps it is time to replace plants that the deer like with those they leave alone?

Heavy snow and ice can be beautiful but can cause some evergreens such as arborvitae  to bend over and be damaged.  Knock heavy snow and ice off of your plants as soon as possible after a storm with a long broom.
